Video; First Snow
[Today on the network was a blonde looking a little distracted away from the feed. She was holding the SFC, so it was clear either she had accidentally turned on the device, or it was on purpose. A beat before she turned her attention to look directly at it.]
I arrived here a few days ago and have already caught up with what is happening from those staying in the Laboratory up North. My name is Celes Chere. I’m a formal general of the Empire and a member of the Returners. I have combat skills and I can heal. If anyone would like for assistance, while the city is broken, please let me know.
You may find me in the Lab or by the wreckage of this lighthouse.
[Pausing to place a thumb over the feed. Turning the device around before removing her thumb to show the bits of the lighthouse. She didn't want to make people sick!]
I have read everything in the pamphlet and I am wearing the blue tunic as the note requested. If there is anything else, then please fill me in.
[End of transmission.]

[He hesitates, then he stands up and starts making his way down to her level on the ground. Once he's there, he just shoves his hands into his pockets and watches her.]
She ain't too bad. Kinda like a spooked dog but she ain't bad. [That's... really the only way he can describe Zelda.]
...S'been two years.
no subject
He isn't getting hugs or anything though.]
You do make quite the impression.
[With that bone fragment, his hole, and his grouchiness.]
Has it really? Doesn't really feel like it.
[It almost felt like a couple months since she has last seen him.]
no subject
I'm just that good.
[Then he's glancing down at the sand.]
I didn't believe it until I started reading that fuckin' pamphlet.
[Another pause, and he removes a hand to (very) lightly punch her arm.]
It took y'long enough to get your ass back here.
no subject
Or that loud.
[And uncouth.]
From what I gathered from the locals, the barrier broke?
[Still in the dark about it getting fixed though.
What is this touching??? She will just nudge him back with her elbow.]
You weren't here when I arrived the second time.
[Since he seems intent on playing the blame game or whatever it was he was trying to do.]
Did you miss me?
no subject
You must like it or else you wouldn't put up with it.
[He feigns a stagger at the nudge only to return it with a small laugh.]
You missed all the fuckin' fun, dollface. Hell, you even missed a damn fruitcake smacking me in the nuts with a bottle of rum!
[And then a face.]
Why would I?
no subject
[Goofball.]
And none thought to take a picture? I will have to ask for a repeat performance then.
[Sounds like he's making...friends]
You were the one looking for a replacement for me.
no subject
[Weirdo.]
I bit 'im. [SOUNDING SO PROUD ABOUT THAT--
and they're more like frenemies >:]
Maybe the two of you should duke it out in a two-piece swimsuit. I bet you got fuckin' amazing legs.
[GRIMMJOW NO...]
no subject
[If he finds them to be more bothersome or loud than himself, then yeah... she's good.]
Good to see you're getting along well.
[Of course he's proud of biting someone. Does she need to get him checked for rabies?]
I'm not going to battle it out like some floozy for your entertainment.
[All the indignation.]
no subject
[And that earns a snort. Gosh Celes, you are so fun to rile up in that weird way.]
Who said you were some floozy?
[yep, that's the closest thing to a compliment he'll ever get for now.]
no subject
It's really none of my business who you bite and let near your crotch.
[Don't make fun of her!
Not sure if that was any better.]
Just leave me out of whatever fantasies you want to share.
[Actually, just don't share anything with her.]
no subject
[His personal bubble, man >:
And it's friendly teasing as far as he's concerned!]
What, never had a guy tell you that before?
[Sharing is caring.]
no subject
He must be a special kind of...something.
[She doesn't even...]
Never.
[Not even ashamed to say that. Most of the guys she has hung around knew better than to say as much.]
no subject
Or Starrk's chest. Well, there was that one time where he sort of stuck his fingers in Ulquiorra's, but that was for a reason!]
You'd like him.
[And that gets something mixed between a genuine laugh and a scoff.]
Shit, kitten. Either you need to get out more or the men you hang around with are as straight as a fuckin' circle. You really ain't bad on the eyes--both physically and as far as fightin' goes from what I can tell.
no subject
[She might just take his word for it for now.
Oh and there is that nickname. And there is also a topic she really shouldn't discuss.]
They know better than to use flattery on me.
[Because she swindled the last dude who tried hitting on her. And there is Locke...]
Love or physical attraction isn't really my forte.
[Let's find a new topic!]
Where have you been staying with the barrier being broken? [Does he even like water?]
no subject
[And then he's glancing past Celes at the mention of a place of residence.]
...Around. [He's not a fan of drowning >: but baths are a nice thing.] They had some bullshit going on that I had to go in for, but after that I got the hell outta that village. [Which he should
probably catch her up on a little bit, so he's tugging down a corner of his pants to show the touched up mark on his hip.]
Y'might wanna get yours looked at 'fore anything else happens.
no subject
Something you had to go in for?
[Yes, she would appreciate being told-
She didn't visibly react, but for a moment she thought he was doing something else. Some warning would be nice, Mr. Kitty.
Now that was a different mark. She will study it the best she can from where she was before touching her own between collar bone and neck.]
A lot has changed.
no subject
[Hey, at least he's not stripping down! He only saves that for when he's feeling comfortable.]
...Alpha's gone, too. That nutjob of a doctor that was here before.
no subject
And don't get comfortable around her please. As nice of a physique he seems to have, she is perfectly fine not seeing it all.]
He wasn't that bad. He seemed at least some what apologetic towards his actions, but he went missing my second visit here. It was the winter after we both have vanished. Seems we left about the same time.
[And she had spent a little more than a month without him. And now he has. Maybe the Coral wanted someone to try to keep him in line.]
no subject
Funny how shit like that works out, huh?
[He mulls over that bit of information in his head. Either there's some weird thing going on with the coral and who it drags in, or it's some crappy example of fate/coincidence.]
Anyone piss you off when I disappeared the first time?
no subject
She would rather not think of any sort fate connection with him. That was just weird. She has enjoyed their little exchanges and helping him out with the cat situation in the past, but that was it.
And people shape their own fates!]
No one I couldn't handle myself.
[She probably wouldn't tell him if she couldn't handle it either.]
What have you been up to?
no subject
[At least it was good to know she could take care of herself if something ever did crop up.]
Honestly? Not a damn thing. I beat the shit outta some brat awhile back but I haven't seen him since.
no subject
Celes starts heading along the water. Are you coming Mr. Kitty?]
You shouldn't pick on kids. [Sounds like he didn't have much to keep him busy.]
What led to the barrier breaking?
no subject
[Nevermind the fact that he's tried to kill a teenager in his world multiple times... shh.
He's not going into the water, but he's going to try matching her footsteps on the damp sections of sand.]
I guess the coral just ended up getting too weak to the point where it just cracked open.
no subject
[This is why you shouldn't hang with the justice aligned sort, Feeties.
And the coral getting weak and just cracking? That's concerning. Very concerning.]
Do curses still work?
no subject
[And it's the only one he kept!]
Dunno. I don't think we've had once since it went tits up--hell, I think the last one we had skipped over me entirely.
