Okay, it might just be me, but doesn't anyone else think it's strange that all these hats are sticking on people's heads? I'm pretty sure it's another curse, but 'oh look you have a hat stuck on your head' just seems a little...I dunno, weak?

You know, I wonder what would happen if you put a hat on top of another hat that someone was wearing.

Anyway, off they go for cheesecake funtiems! Nanaki is trusting Davesprite to lead the way, though, since she doesn't know where to go.]

[Davesprite leads her up to the island, and when they're there, he makes an ironic bow.]

[Guess who was smart enough to change into shorts before flying shenanigans?]

[Davesprite picks her up with no problem and then takes off into the air. It's pretty smooth, since he doesn't need to furiously work his wings to gain altitude. Sprite flight totally wins for that.]

[Even if Davesprite is confident in his flying skills, Nanaki is still a little nervous. As soon as Davesprite picks her up, she'll hold onto him for extra-security.]

I think I'm alright, so far.

[But even though being in the air is a little frightening, it's amazing to see too. As they go higher, she looks out at the water and ground around them.]

[He's not going to complain about that. Davesprite keeps a secure hold on her, soaring well above the island.]

At least you're getting a bird's eye view of the island. You should see it at night. It's like looking at stars that got stuck on the ground.

I didn't know you came up here at night, though.

Not all the time. I just come up here whenever I'm having a really bad case of insomnia. It's better than just staring up at my ceiling for the rest of the night.

Nah, I've always had it. Can't really remember when it started, honestly. I've felt like I've always had it.

I got used to it. There are ways I can pass the night until I pass out myself.

Oh, so you have to work yourself until you're exhausted.

[It makes sense, it's easier to fall asleep when you feel like you can't move anymore.]

Yep. Works about half the time, but it's better than nothing. By the way, we can head back down whenever you're ready.

[He doesn't look at all tired, but he feels he should mention that. Maybe when she's more comfortable Davesprite will offer a night flight, or she will suggest it herself. Whichever comes first.]

[Nanaki likes the view, but she interprets Davesprite's offer ashim saying he's getting tired of carrying her around, so.]

[Davesprite goes in for a smooth landing and sets her down gently.]

That might help, since I'll still have to learn how to use the rocketboard.
