Day 65 - [Video]

[Although the feed starts off in audio-only for a couple seconds before he decides he's up for video, Roxas doesn't look any different.]

Hey, Axel, Xion.. Hayner... Well, everybody...

I know some people are freaking out, but I hope you guys aren't so bad off. 'cause, um, I kind of want your help figuring some stuff out.

Well, you wouldn't want someone- drawing on your face or something while you were out. [...because Roxas would never do this. Of course not.]

...so, does that mean you do want to?

[Well, yeah, there's that drawing on his face bit, sure, but more recently he's been feeling more and more disconnected from his Other and Demyx. It's like he just doesn't fit in that house right now. Axel lowers his arm and then cracks a smirk.]

I said I'm cool with it, didn't I?

[Scoff] Get with the program, Roxas.

Hey, you didn't look so sure.

[But he's smiling now because- looks like Sora was right, Axel doesn't mind.]

Well, that's because I'm a weirdo, remember?

[He glances off to the side for a beat. Yeah, of course he doesn't mind. It's just--No. No, he's not supposed to have doubts like that.]

[Roxas misses any doubt that might be showing on Axel's face as he's glancing around the room.]

So- your place or mine?

[Come to think of it, he doesn't actually know if Axel's living with anyone. He's seen and talked to Demyx, of course, but never at home.]

[...That sounds odd, Roxas.]

Well, I live with Demyx and my Other right now, so I'm pretty sure that unless you wanna camp out on the floor over there, then we'd have to stick with your place.

[And he will never know.]

Ah... You think they'll be okay with that?

[It seems like moving out on someone could hurt their feelings... but then, with how Demyx had been talking about Axel, maybe he won't mind.]

[If only Axel knew what the hell was going on in the first place.]

I don't see why not. Better to give them a head's up than say nothing at all, right?

Besides. They probably need more space for themselves anyway.

[He smiles a little again. He's still assuming the wedding's just delayed, and married people usually live by themselves, right? Until they have kids anyway...]

Y-yeah, I guess you're right.

[Let's not think about Lea and Demyx and kids right now.]

Man. [he laughs softly.] If you were so lonely by yourself, you could've just asked me this sooner, Roxas.

[Good plan, that seems like a strange and confusing line of thought.]

I- I wasn't lonely. [Was he?] It's just- not all that fun living by yourself.

[You were so lonely, dude.]

Mm, I can imagine. Playing catch with yourself in a living room doesn't sound so great.

[Laughs again]

[Totally. But now he will have one weirdo for company. ~~And I should probably figure out where he actually lives.~~]

I don't think people normally play catch in living rooms...

[Maybe he lives on a rooftop somewhere. Or in a cardboard box.]

Sure they do. If it's rainy outside, then how else are you gonna play catch?

[That must be some cardboard box if Axel fits in it, too.]

Don't you just- do something else?

Like... board games.

[Like a cardboard box fort thing. With indoor heating and a porch for watching sunsets from.]

Or maybe even playing catch with board games. [He snickers.] It really depends on you, kid. Some people like board games, others like sleeping in from when the sun comes up to when it goes back down.

Like me, for instance.

[Admittedly that would be awesome. They may need to build this thing.]

You can't sleep all day.

[It will be the most boyish thing ever. All the neighborhood kids will be jealous.]

Oh, please; don't gimme that when I've been sleeping for the past week or so.

[But they won't know the secret password so tough luck.]

I meant I won't let you.

[Not that he.. really knows how to do that if it's a sleep coma. Maybe if he jumps on your bed?]

So, what, you'll be my personal alarm clock now?

Hey! You don't wanna have to tell people you got beat up by your alarm clock, do you?
