Is it weird to feel connected to someone you've got nothing in common with? Personality-wise, I mean. Like maybe you're in a similar situation, but you turned out completely different...

Guess I'm thinking too much lately.

I guess it isn’t weird. A connection is a connection, you know? Don’t get all broody thinking about it. Either try to figure it out with the person or just don’t worry about it, man. [Deep thinking or expressing any actual thoughtful advice wasn’t his forte. Unless you count that rare moment where he could say something pretty deep.]

I'm in a sort of similar situation and while it's a bit confusing and off putting, I don't really see it as a problem and I'm looking forward to getting to know them a bit more. Maybe you're kind of overthinking it?

It's probably more likely to have a connection to someone like that. Shared experiences can create a bond. It's sure as hell hard to create a connection with someone who doesn't understand a thing about you.
