[audio] ramblings
It's such a bloody shame when one's basic skill sets are completely obsolete in this city and island. Death was considered one of the few things in life as a certainty, and yet here we are, unable to die properly.
[ a sort of low groan, like he's nursing a migraine. ]
Being an assassin isn't easy... quite under appreciated bunch we are, really! You think you just...just... go up to a bloke and stick a sword through his beating heart being stealthy-like and all, but no... no! That's not how it works, you idgit... [ yes, he just said 'idgit'. ]
There's a finesse, a sort of grace in the kill. It's an art, really, and a bit of showmanship if you're not the only two there. There's nothing like a good audience to motivate you if you ask me, and I'll bet you're asking me... how is murder art? How do you sleep at night? Just an unmoral sack of fucking shit you are, is what you're thinking I'll bet. Well... I... [ mumbles, trailing off a little. ]
I brush my teeth real proper holding that brush at a 45 degree angle. Not too hard for that makes the gums bleed something fierce and that's quite unhealthy I hear. Then get undressed...heh, then dressed again into something proper for sleep, perhaps read a couple chapters of the good ol' Dostoyevsky, and that's it! I sleep like a big baby is how I fucking sleep, I'll tell you that much!
Ugh... I need to stop drinking and find something better to occupy my bloody time with...

[Especially he is talking about the way he holds his tooth brush.] If you're still looking for something to do, ya can see if anyone would hire someone to be whacked. [So long as you don't someone Faris cares for, then he won't give a crap. \o/]
If ya want something else...well I heard the domestic thing is pretty big here. [Nooooooot his thing.]
voice;
Well, see, what's the point in...what, whacking? Whacking someone when they'll just return? That'll just make things extremely awkward.
[yeah nope domestic stuff is so not his thing either.]

It takes more skill not to kill or cause serious damage in a fight. If you pride yourself in showmanship, consider sparring with someone. There are many here who would oblige.

[...Oh right, introductions.]
My name is Serph.

[ There's a pause and what seems to be an intake of breath from a cigarette. ]
I wouldn't call merely butchering art, however. A clean cut. That is beauty. Of course, I take this all from a medical standpoint.
[ But what kind of doctor would find beauty in death? ]

[ He's aware of that weight himself, if that pause is any indication. ]
A game only a select few can appreciate, certainly so. But would you refer to the chase as the game? I prefer calling it art as you have. The chase is interesting however I much prefer the outcome and aftermath to it.
voice;
I see, we differ in that sense a little. The chase and moment of execution is the highlight of course, though I admit there is satisfaction in knowing the outcome and aftermath. It's just not as important to me what happens to the body afterwards.
voice;
[ Not to mention the look in their eyes when it happens but disclosing that would be too telling. ]
I must admit. I'm rather curious as to what brought this sudden need to divulge along.
voice;
Assuming you're a doctor here, of course... [He adds that like an afterthought. He never actually asked him if he was a doc.]
And I'll admit I've 'ad a little one too many to drink and just well, you know, felt like sharing. I'm going to be here for a while it looks like, so there's really no point in hiding it.
voice;
[ He's not going to expound on that deal with the organs and everything he's said. It's telling enough but there are just certain topics you can't help but bring up. There's a small smile though, one of amusement from his confession. ]
I'd imagine it was only under a bit of inebriation that someone would be so willing to admit to this line of work. However, discretion could be somewhat advised. There are those who have rather... strong senses of justice, shall I say?
voice;
Strong senses of justice...yes, well, I suppose I've been lucky so far not to have run into anyone of that description. I'm sure once I sober up, I'll be back to being the little shut-in that I'm used to being.

Actually, I know exactly how you feel. I'm not really the poetic kind, but just stabbing someone is boring. How's anyone going to take you seriously if you aren't at least a little flashy?

I've got plenty of brute force myself, but it's not about whether you can cut them or not. It's about making the survivors afraid so they won't cross you again.

Now if I was indiscriminately slaughtering people for no pay, I would leave a survivor here and there, even if my perfectionist side would never forgive me for leaving behind a few stragglers.

Being an assassin isn't like being a soldier.
[Video] SHJDJSD SORRY SO LATE WOW
Trust me, if you aren't raised that way from a young age, it's quite impossible to do it in your adult life. I've seen it. Not a pretty sight.
[Video]
But that's not the point. Even if you were raised to be an assassin, I still think...you can be more now.
[It isn't too late for anyone.]
[Video]
The possibility, as slim as it is, does remain. I agree. But do you ever get the feeling that sometimes you were just meant to do something your whole life?
[Video]
You can do better than assassin.
