[Cue Zelos, sitting on the end of his large bed, a vase of roses to his right on the nightstand and a candle burning behind to his left.]

So, ladies and gentlemen of Vatheon, it has come to my attention due to the upswing of network posts having to do with romance that a lot of you are in the need of advice; maybe a guiding hand in your love lives from someone with more experience with the fairer sex, or at a loss for what your man expects during this time of year.

[He sits back a bit, steepling his fingers with a grin at the camera.]

You poor thing! Guess they don't have it on your world. It's a holiday where lovers exchanges gifts and appreciation for each other! Though.. my bud just reminded me that friendship is a kind of love too, so I guess it doesn't have to just be about romance.

... You say it doesn't have to, but it sounds like it's more about romance than friendship. Is that really what your friend said, or are you just trying to make me feel better?

Nah, he really did say that! And I've got a platonic date for the evening of the fourteenth too, so really it can be about friendship.

[Seriously. He didn't believe it at first either, but why not? Friendship certainly feels like love to him, as inexperienced as he is with it.]

If you say so. Still, I think I'm going to pass on the whole thing if it's all the same to you.

Don't take it personally, Hunny. I send every lovely lady a little chocolate on Valentines. You'd feel left out if you were the only one who didn't get any, wouldn't you?

Not really. I don't like it when people do nice things for me out of courtesy and nothing else.

[Although 'don't like it' was a mild way of putting it.]

It's not really out of courtesy, it's just something I've always done every year. Humor me, alright? It makes me feel more at home.

[It does, strangely, as much as a part of him hates being an insecure suck up he does still enjoy the smiling faces of everyone on Valentines. He's met some amazing people here already, so unique and vibrant. There's no reason they shouldn't be recognized for it. And even those he's not particularly fond of, or has had no contact with, any holiday away from home is rough, especially if those you care about aren't here. Thus, chocolate for everyone, because everyone deserves it.]

... I like chocolate with nuts in it more than plain chocolate.

[That was about as non-obtuse as she was going to get. To be honest, she wouldn't be completely against the idea of receiving chocolate from someone who wasn't Zelos and having a secret admirer of some kind; she had some appreciation for romance. Would she admit that, though? Hell no.]
