Accidental Video
*There's a blur on the screen as it seems the SFC is moved from one pair of hands to another. When the image finally settles, it is tilted at an angle. Most of the image appears to be a boring bedside table with a jug of water on, and the frame of a boring bed, similar to what might be seen in a hospital. A smaller section of the screen shows half of someone's pale face, the eyes covered with bandages. The only thing that might identify this person are some flicks of brown hair, sitting above a shoulder in a hospital gown. The SFC is moved again, showing this unhappy figure in a bed, before the feed flickers out*

I'll talk to her. For now, you'll stay with me, and I'll worry about the flower shop later. I ran it by myself before, and I can do it again. Shiemi is there to help, if you're that concerned about there being help. [He pauses, stroking her cheek idly.] There's no need to feel guilty about this.
[He lifts up the arm carrying the bag the nurse gave him and places it in front of Selphie, close enough that she could know the bag is in front of her.] Hold onto this, to the front of you. [Once she does so, Aya will pick her up bridal style and carry her home.]

Carefully, she holds out her hands, determined to at least by useful by doing this one thing. But she hasn't expected at all to be lifted, giving a small shriek of happy surprise. Selphie clutches onto the bag all the way home, deciding not to suggest that he shouldn't carry her, and she takes advantage of it instead, resting her head against his shoulder, eventually daring herself to press a small kiss to his cheek*
no subject
[He didn't expect a kiss for the deed, however. Another lucky instance for him, that Selphie can't see him hue. Unsure how to really reciprocate (because saying 'thank you' is ridiculous...), Aya settles for holding her closer.]
You know, I knew a girl who was blind, but she could see so much clearer than anyone I knew. [He smiled lightly, thinking back on Taiyou.] She wanted to join a motorcycle gang, but the closest I could get for her was helping her ride a motorcycle. [Not the smartest of ideas, but he was sitting behind her if something went wrong.]
no subject
Really? But...how could she ride if she couldn't see the road? *She's never thought about riding a motorbike before, because she's more into flying airships, but she laughs lightly at his story*

I was posing as a gardener for a rehabilitation center at the time, and the director asked me to cheer her up. I was pretty unsure if I could even do that, but I'm glad I agreed.
no subject
Well..you're good at that, cheering other people up. So..that's good..

*It would kill her not to be able to fight again, or do most things again. But then, she does wonder if she can play her guitar just the same... She nuzzles up against his jaw slightly*
Where are we now? Not too far to go?
no subject
[At how Selphie nuzzles him, Aya hues and tries to concentrate on answering her question.] We're more than halfway there. The shops are getting fewer as we get to our area. Did you want anything before we get back?
no subject
So long as you've got plenty of tea, I should be okay. *Though, of course, in her time of need, her instincts tell her she'd also like a huge slice of chocolate cake. But, since Aya doesn't really do sweet things, and since it would require some amount of feeding, she doesn't mention it*
no subject
[He raises an eyebrow, then remembers that Selphie couldn't see that. So he makes his curiosity more obvious.] Hmm? Only tea?
no subject
Yup! Just tea!

[The gates to their community is just ahead, and they open automatically for them.]
no subject
*Because she will be so determined to do things for herself, including somehow shopping for groceries*
no subject
When you're feeling better, sure.
no subject
Okay. Sure. When I'm better.
no subject
We're not that far now. Do you want to walk to the door?
no subject
Uhm...How far? I'll make it okay without tripping, right?
*Because the last thing she wants to do is make a fool of herself for trying*
no subject
no subject
*She can do this. She has to do this, and prove that she can still do something for herself. Selphie wobbles slightly on her feet, but rests a hand against his arm to steady herself. Then, holding tightly onto the bag, she makes a few careful steps forward, and some more, one hand outstretched, until her palm hits the door and she stops*
I did it!
no subject
You did. [He takes out his keys and unlocks the door.] This may be a bit more challenging. [Aya links his hand with hers as he steps inside.] Do you remember where things are from before?
no subject
Uhm... I think so?
*Only, she seems to have forgotten the small step that leads into the house, and manages to trip quite impressively*
no subject
There's a step there... [He helps her stand upright again.] There aren't anymore, though.
no subject
Oh..okay. Where do I go now...? Straight ahead, just a little, right?
no subject
Yes, the wall curves to the right, and there's a door coming soon.
