There's a brief blur of Axel's face which doesn't stay long enough for anyone to really get a good look at him, but just in case, he's definitely got a split lip and a gauze bandage over his right temple. There's some more shifting when his door opens and one of the happiest looking nurses in the world comes in to check on him.]

[Roxas has spent the day enjoying the festival, and although he'd like to be there with Axel, he isn't concerned about not seeing him around. But later, after he gets home and finds himself alone in the apartment, he checks the network and finds out maybe he should have been worried all along.

He doesn't bother with seeing if the nurses will let him in at this hour. He just portals directly into Axel's room. He steps out, letting it close behind him as he looks his friend over.]

[Some time after running into Roxas, Axel tried his hand at a few more games then eventually ran into Saix again, which is why he's not looking so good right now. It's nothing serious and certainly nothing that he can't handle, but it is a pain in the ass to have to deal with.

He's lying down on his bed when he hears the Portal open and, already suspecting who this could be, he sits up and tries to look as presentable and casual as possible. His coat has been taken off and draped over the seat to this left so that it doesn't constrict the cast he currently has wrapped around most of his right hand and wrist.

Scoffing, Axel grins.]

What happened? Is your hand gonna be okay?

[He already has his suspicions as to whose fault this is, which is why he's still frowning in spite of Axel's casual greeting.]

[He glances briefly at his hand then laughs.]

Yeah, yeah. It's just a little thing. Give it a couple weeks and it'll be back to normal.

[It's not like Ky can really consider Axel a friend, but he does like him, and enjoy talking to him...or maybe he can and does, within his relatively limited understanding of friendship.]

[It's been a little while since he's seen Ky, now that he thinks about it. With the nurse walking up to his side to check on his arm a bit, Axel replies.]

More or less. But I gotta say, things would be better if the food wasn't so sub par.

Is the food not nutritionally sound?

[That seems like something worth getting upset for, if that's the case.

Ky grew up on rations on days that he was lucky, and from there to the Order was no real transition. His hospital food was just more of the same.

For a Frenchman, Ky has never had an understanding of sitting back and enjoying his food. If it fills his stomach, and does so quickly, then he's inclined not to care.]

[Nutrition? Please. Axel doesn't do that. He just eats whatever he wants, when he wants. And somehow he still manages to stay in shape.]

So long as it won't deprive you of what you need, then, that's a survivable enough ailment.

[Ky's the kind of person who can barely convince himself to stop for a meal, so it's important that he gets as much nutrition as he needs that way. Of course, with his metabolism, spurred on in large part by his status as a magic user, it still might not be enough. But that's an entirely separate issue, really.

The real point is that he's entirely in earnest, that he thinks Axel should be fine with the food so long as it's nutritious.]

Sometimes it does feel that way.
