Okay, it might just be me, but doesn't anyone else think it's strange that all these hats are sticking on people's heads? I'm pretty sure it's another curse, but 'oh look you have a hat stuck on your head' just seems a little...I dunno, weak?

You know, I wonder what would happen if you put a hat on top of another hat that someone was wearing.

There is a pause before Davesprite gives in to the compulsion to actually go check her kitchen. If there are dishes to be washed, then he must clean them.

But she moves the box to the table and sets it down there so she can open it up. When it's open, she sort of just stares at the present for a moment before pulling out the dress and unfolding it.

The shock is a good thing, she is genuinely amazed by this.]

If he's honest with himself, he's actually pretty nervous about her reaction to the gift. Davesprite had to guess her size, as embarrassing as that was when he went to get it. He resists the urge to fidget, leaning casually against the counter instead.

[She hadn't even thought about the size yet, she'll try it on later to make sure it fits, but even if it doesn't she's still elated. She honestly hadn't expected Davesprite to remember a few throwaway comments about things she likes, and it's making her re-evaluate her (already positive) opinions about him.

When he says that, though, she looks up at him with a warm smile. Then she sets the dress down and takes a step over to give Davesprite a hug.]

[Okay, the hug is totally not expected, and catches him off guard for a second. Blushing a light orange, Davesprite tentatively hugs her back.]

[It takes her a moment or two to realize how awkward suddenly hugs might be, but when she does she pulls away and stammers a bit as she tries to explain herself.]

I'm sorry, I- people don't usually give me thoughtful gifts like that.

Hugs are acceptable forms of saying "thanks," too. What kinda cake did you have in mind?
