®» 13 Video // ....Teacher wanted.

...... I need a new swordmaster - or someone who can use bladed weapons. There's only so much I can learn on my own now that Sephiroth is no longer here. [ Technically, he's been training on his own for a while, but now that he's belatedly realised that his mentor/teacher's no longer on the list...

Yea. New teacher is really needed if he wanted to make any proper headway into his skills with the blade. :|
]

I'm competent with the basics so there's no issue with that. I'd rather not have a complete moron who'd just hinder my progress and or undo what was taught to me by the General, but.. [ Silver looks uncomfortable here. Gee, it must be that that stick up the butt is being dislodged somewhat.] I'll take what I can get; even a moron's better than nothing.

Your hands need time to develop callouses... though perhaps you wear gloves?

[Mitsuhide certainly has the callouses, but he does use gloves sometimes.]

Ah, I see. He was a general. Do you know his exact rank? I am not familiar with the ranks in most cultures, but there seems to be a thread of familiarity at least when compared to mine.

[Mitsuhide is still concerned; it may be wise to keep an eye on this young one. There is something about him that makes Mitsuhide worry for him, to put it bluntly, but he'd never say that out loud. It clearly would not be accepted.]

Trying to prove someone wrong is not a good reason, but self-discipline a very good one. Learning to wield a blade is excellent for such a thing; years of training will instill it in you very well. It certainly did me.

[He smiles softly.]

I am sure you will do well, if that is so.

You should wear them always, unless you wish to develop the right callouses by wielding a wooden blade for a while. You risk permanent damage otherwise.

[Silver, you're so silly. )= There's a very good reason you attract all these sorts to you. Mitsuhide hums, thinking carefully for a few moments.]

...that would not make you weak. [Mitsuhide's voice grows firmer, authority clear in his tone.] To wield a sword is not right for everyone, and some only realise this when they have trained for a while.

[He shakes his head.]

Though your determination is admirable, worthy of a true samurai, be cautious and do not push yourself to learn too quickly. You will make mistakes at times, which is to be expected. The greatest of swordsmen do.
