✝ 1ST [video];
[the device has been simple enough for Kaworu to figure out. he's laying on his back on a couch somewhere, his silver hair splayed messily, and he's smiling at the device that he's holding out straight ahead, both of his arms fully extended.]
This place is very strange.
It's amusing enough, but I wonder—are people's dreams here always broadcasted like that? It makes for an interesting first impression, to bare the psyche unwittingly like that. It's almost... intimate. Right? Isn't it? Does it feel violating, for someone having seen your dreams?

video;
Really? That's too bad.
I like him. So naturally, I would want to see him.
video;
Too bad, you can't. If he's the one I know, he wouldn't know you even if he did show up.
video;
video;
[So much for not repeating herself.]
He'd probably be weirded out in his own way if you went and tried to tell him all your stories about what supposedly happened. Do you really think people like strangers trying to insist they know them?
video;
Kaworu chuckles, feeling smug.]
Then perhaps I would spare him, and I can use you as a learning experience.
video;
video;
Without practice, speculation is useless.
video;
video;
Besides, I do consider everything I say—my thought processes are merely different from yours.
We're different, after all. I can't think the way you do.
video;
[Though at this point, she has no interest in whatever he'd try to make her happy, if he cared about it.]
Obviously your thoughts are different. You're a creep and an idiot both, so how couldn't they be?
video;
But, how am I an idiot?
[KAWORU KNOWS IDIOTIC. idiotic is Rei. big stupid hero who gets the broody boy, as Kaworu's come to completely misunderstand.]
video;
How do you think? You showed up trying to insist you knew me and that I went through a coma and everything when I told you straight up that I'd never seen you! I still don't even know your name, not that I'd want to for anything but a means to avoid you.
And like I said at the start, you should have figured out on your own that having your dreams shown to other people would be weird and invasive, meaning your whole post had no practical point.
video;
Anyway, I don't think I'd feel that way, if someone saw my dreams. The point of my post was not meant for any sort of practicality beyond own entertainment.
It worked.
video;
And believing anything you're told is called gullibility. I have a strong mind with no patience for dumb stories, and you're not going to insult me into changing it.
If you want to exhibit your dreams to everyone, that's your own choice. I don't expect you to have normal desires yourself.
[If only she knew.
Better that she doesn't.]video;
[liking other boys is weird. he remembers that, even if he doesn't understand why.]
Anyway, my intention isn't to change your mind; I like it as it is.
[confusing. funny. flawed. human.]
video;
[Better she doesn't know that, either. She'd hardly be the most progressive.]
I don't care if you like it, though you sure act funny about it if you do. And I can tell you right away I don't like yours at all.
video;
Besides, I don't know if I'd want a person like you to like my mind, so I guess our feelings are mostly mutual.
video;
Whether or not you want me to is irrelevant, because I don't, and that's how it is. Good for you if you're fine with it, but I really don't care.
video;
But I think all the chosen Children are a little unusual, personally.
video;
video;
I don't think our being unusual is a good or bad thing, but I wonder if it's necessary? Perhaps there's some common factor between each Child that somehow makes them most suited to piloting, and that's what makes them unusual.
video;
[Obviously, her unusualness has to be a good thing. But a common factor?]
Maybe, though it beats me to figure out what that is. I suppose that's why the Marduk Institute is necessary.
video;
So if that were true, Second, what do you think that would be?
