Well this is new. It's not every day I get kidnapped.   And to think, today was going so well too.

[After a few moments a petite red-head of a scientist appears on the screen with trees in the background. She looks less then thrilled. It wasn't everyday Washu came across things she couldn't manipulate and here she's encountered two in less than five minutes.  Either someone out there was one hell of a genius or it will take a little longer than usual to try and figure her way out of this.]

Considering how well kept this place is, there must be intelligent lifeforms out here somewhere. So can someone tell me what's going on?

Well, I very easily could, but a more simple way to learn about Vatheon would be to read the pamphlet. Have the locals directed you to the welcoming committee yet?

That depends, do welcoming committees usually hang around forests? Otherwise, yes, I read the pamphlet but would like confirmation. I wouldn't be a very good scientist if I took things at face value now would I.

Well, most of what it says is true. We have been indeed taken from multiple universes and worlds into this city, somehow through the power of the coral Lamufao. We are subject to experiments and observation by a group of scientists who are unreachable at this point in time.

Most of the things in Vatheon are free to us so long as we show the natives the tattoo which is somewhere on our person. The only exception is the Nostalgia Quarter, which carries goods from our worlds.

Is there anything else you need to know?

For the most part, the curses seem to be their favored type. Just recently, before you arrived, the individuals of the city were subject to bodily changes. Some became full blown animals, while a few others could still speak in that form. Others only had certain animal attributes- ears and a tail, or wings and antennae.

Other times, we have had things such a bubbles which followed us and displayed our thoughts. They can take all sorts of forms.

There's only be one occurrence when they interfered with us directly.

I don't know, can I~? This place just seems so strange for a little girl like me.

So far, I've figured out that I have been physically removed from my home universe, tattooed with an unknown ink substance and left in the middle of the woods underwater with some of the strangest reading material I've seen.

Does that sum it up? Or is there more I should be aware of from someone who probably can't see two inches in front of his face without his glasses.

Of course bats aren't blind.They use an ultrasonic frequency to perceive the world around them through echolocation. So really the saying doesn't make sense once you think about it.

Of course there's more to whats going on. I wouldn't be one of the greatest scientific minds of my universe if I didn't question what's around me, now would I.

[A new communication feed clicks on, someone seems to be responding. Yet, when the image clears there appears to be a small brown Pembroke Welsh Corgi sitting there. It then barks a few times at the screen.]

[Well this was different. Washu smiles at the Corgi before trying to peer at his surroundings a bit.]

Hello there~. I'm sorry to say dog isn't one of the languages I speak.

[Undeterred, the corgi barks once more, then carefully scoops the SFC up in his mouth and trots a short distance. A voice is picked up by the audio, clearly speaking with the dog.]

Ein-person, why do you have the fishy comm-y thing in your mouth, give it to Ed!

[Ed retrieves the SFC from Ein's mouth, and moves to turn the device off, until she realizes there is someone on the other end.]

Ein made a call? [Ed stares at the person on the screen, confused. She did not know them.] Hello, new person!

[So the dog does have a name and a person nearby. This might be one of the more interesting introductions she's had so far.]

To keep it short and sweet darling, you're in a place called Vatheon. It's a giant bubble under the ocean and it's attached to an island above the water so that you can occasionally go up for some real sun and fresh ocean air.

You were brought here by the coral just like the rest of us. Unless the coral sees fit, you're not going home. People do leave and come back sometimes, but their memories of this place are anywhere from hazy to not remembering it.

Well, that's slightly more information then what I've been told so far but nothing new if the pamphlet is to be taken into account.

But, I guess if people can worship trees then an all powerful piece of coral can't be too farfetched.

Hmn... housing and goods? They're all free here, unless you want more than basic necessities. I couldn't, for the life of me, tell you how the economy here manages to survive with that method, but it seems to work well enough for the locals.

However there is a place called the Nostalgia Nook where you can buy things, often from your world or the worlds of others here, but those items cost tokens.
