It seems as if the arrival cycle is over now. Allow me to extend a belated welcome to everyone who was pulled into Vatheon this past cycle. My name is Zelda, and I work with the Welcoming Committee here. Please drop by if you have any questions about our current situation as foreigners in the city. [Zelda reaches out to get one last little piece.]

[Let's do this because baking is going to be taken to the EXTREME!!1!! Except not really]

Mix it together like this. Not too much, you want a little air left.

[Zelda demonstrates, picking up a spoon to start mixing the ingredients together. Unfortunately, mixing is not something she can display slowly.]

[As Bianca stares at Zelda's bowl, she stares at her own. Man, mixing wasn't going to be difficult but it was how fast she should mix it. With that, she let out another huff and began mixing it really quickly.

Not too fast though, she remembered to add a little air left]

Hm...I think I'm doing okay so far! It's suppose to be this weird yellow like color right?

[As she leaned in closer to the bowl, she noticed a smell coming from it]

Ah...it smells so nice already! I can't wait to eat it when it's ready!

[Zelda pauses, then grins sheepishly.]

Actually... I sometimes taste the dough as well. There is supposedly a small risk of getting sick from it, but I think the eggs here in Vatheon do not carry whatever disease eggs can supposedly carry.

Really?

[Cue staring at the bowl and back at Zelda! To take that chance or not...

HM...she doesn't want to get sick but at the same time, she really did want to try it...

She took her finger and let out a small taste from the dough. And the results was......]

Huh, it's a lot better than I thought! So that means that everything is going to be okay after all!

[Not...really]

Well, due to the chemical reaction that takes place when sugar is heated, it's likely to taste a little different than this - but it should be fine.

[Out with the greased cookie sheet!]

With this sort of gingerbread cookie we just put dollops on the sheet here. If these go well, we can try to make the harder cookies and shape them.

Hm? I don't really understand the chemical reactions about sugar but...ow differently would it taste to now? Wouldn't it taste just about the same?

[She let out a huff]

This is starting to get really confusing!

Buuuttt...we'll just need to get the cookie cutters right?

[And then she goes around to look for them!]

Oh cookie cutters, oh cookie cutters, where are you~♪

Things taste a bit different when you cook them. Take toast for example - the light browning changes the flavor of the bread.

[Oh, does Bianca want to make shapes out of these? They're soft gingerbread, so the shapes won't be as crisp as they could be, but there's no harm in it. Zelda takes out the cookie cutters and some wax paper, then starts to roll out the dough. She offers the wax paper and another roller to Bianca.]

We should flatten it out a bit first if you want to make shapes.

But it's just crunchy so...it shouldn't be any different?

[Nope, still not getting it here but anyway...!

Once Bianca finds the cookie cutters, she quickly places it next to the pan and starts getting out the dough. She's getting pumped up!]

Okay then, let's do this!

[And off she goes taking some dough out and when she did...]

...We forgot the roller didn't we?

[It's like Bianca has never heard of caramelization!]

It's fine, I have rollers. See?

[Zelda dips her head to the rollers again, starting to roll out her own piece. One thing that can be said for the princess: she definitely plans ahead.]

[Hauuuu]

Oh, that's great! We don't have to get our hands dirty! I was worried if we might have to do that! And we don't want any germs on the cookies either!

[With that, Bianca quickly grabbed one of the rollers before looking back at Zelda. Hm...maybe if she can roll at the same time as the girl besides her...]

[Zelda is too, but she doesn't make up random little tunes like that. once she has the dough down to an appropriate thickness, she starts cutting out shapes with a knife. It's likely that Bianca will want to use the cookie cutters, and Zelda prefers to make her own shapes regardless.]

Mhmm, why wouldn't I be? Singing can cheer a person up and it makes things so much more fun!

[She can't whistle all that well and she's not going to attempt it either! Instead, she'll just hum a merry little tune as she continues to roll the dough. Once she's done, the girl quickly got the cookie cutter for gingerbread man.

Hm...]

You know, looking at them...it's a little weird. I don't want to eat something that looks like a human! ...Ah, that would kind of make me a cannibal wouldn't it?

[She lets out a nervous laugh]

I love music as well, I just do not know any cooking songs.

[Without a Song of Cooking, how can she be expected to sing while she works?]

I actually feel that way too! It's why I've been cutting my own shapes. I think I might have some cookie cutters for Valentine's around if you'd like to do hearts instead? The trees and the stars aren't bad shapes, either.

Huh? You don't need to know any cooking songs! Those songs are just ones I wanted to sing to, it makes cooking much more fun!

[The female half, of course. Though this year... she should make something for Guy, shouldn't she? The thought is pretty embarrassing, and Zelda fumbles a bit with her knife before recovering.]

But ...won't that mean he'll run of chocolate? And why half of the city, shouldn't he be giving it to everyone? Otherwise, that's just mean of him!

The other half would be sad and I don't like that!

[Of course, Bianca's pretty oblivious to the fact that he's a flirt. But she does notice something else...]

Hm? Are you okay, Zelda?

Well, he only gives it to his friends. It would be difficult to know the entire city, don't you think?

[Not going to talk about Zelos' philandering with Bianca, thank you.]

Ah, I just... I have never been in a relationship before, but this year I am. I am not sure what to get my partner...
