Good evening, Vatheon. As many of you may have noticed, the structure of the communication devices ordinarily used has significantly changed.

[ it is almost like he is using a working cellphone again. ]

I would like to confirm the scope of these changes. To the unseeing eye, it would appear to be something akin to a modernized technological upgrade— a GPS, translator, and games are all available now among other functions. Curiously enough, there is an included add-on for a weather forecast that is entirely ineffectual. [ this is odd because there is usually weather— albeit not within the barrier. ] If anyone could also confirm the current status of the island for me I would be very grateful.

[ and returning to the run-down— ]

In actuality, this is not an upgrade, but a transformation; that much should already be evident by the change in shape alone. The construction is different— unlike SFCs, these can be taken apart with no damage if you're careful enough. There is also a card slot within the device that serves an unknown purpose.

The most interesting change would be within the formatting options. Note that there is now a "dream" function available... one that I am somehow unable to utilize. If anyone has any further information, it would be appreciated.

Lastly, if anyone is feeling a bit daring, I have a favor to ask.

[Hello Vatheon, have a soaking wet high school detective with a faintly irritable look in his face. He shoves damp bangs out of his eyes and addresses the network with as much dignity as he can currently muster up. Which is still quite a bit, considering the circumstances. He is British, after all.]

At least if it were a giant sea sponge it could do something about getting me dry.

[Hakuba unknots the tie around his neck and wrings it out before stuffing it in his pocket. He shrugs out of his suit jacket as well, and rolls up his sleeves.]

This is quite possibly the most ridiculous kidnapping that I have ever been witness to. And that includes the one in Devon with the witch's coven.

Well, this certainly is quite the surprise.

[The sender seems rather amused by their sudden appearance here. Though, it has been quite a few days since she arrived, soaked and dripping in an alleyway not far from the plaza in this current form. It's been amusing as of late, too- arriving to chaos and outrage. It certainly reminded her of events not too long ago, especially for a being as old as her.]

I must say, you all have been rather busy lately, hm? What with that scare last week. An interesting choice for a "prank," as well. Though I wonder why those with such a finite amount of time would worry so much about what is inevitable for beings such as most of those who find themselves in both this city and their own realities...

[The video feed snaps on abruptly, though it is shadowy and hard to see. This is likely because it is quite dark, between the fog and it being near midnight.

Not that there's much time to admire the view, because then there's a face pressed against the SFC. It is so close that only an eye and a cheek can be seen, but the face--and the ragged breathing--are distinctly feminine.]

S-someone!

[Her voice is strained, panicked, and she glances over her shoulder quickly.]

Please! You have to help Charlotte.

It's--!

[Suddenly, the SFC clatters to the ground. But there is only time for one more scream before the SFC cuts off--

And then there is only static.

ooc: Feel free to react as you'd like to this broadcast, threadjack at will, etc, etc! None of the nurses will be responding. In fact, the clinic is entirely deserted, head nurse and all. There aren't any other bodies or blood around, however, no matter how hard you search.

[Hello Vatheon. There is now what appears to be a very young child looking down into the communicator with curiosity. After a few seconds of staring, despite being in damp clothing and likely confused like most newcomers would be, he does break out into a smile.]

Ohhh, I see how it works! It's like one of those really cool video phones that rich people have! So there must be people I could talk to through Starfish-kun here, right? [Yep, definitely not that perturbed about being in an unknown place without his parents as he continues to be all smiles as he waves a hand--or rather, a felt-puppet that he's wearing on his hand at the screen.] I'm Reisuke Houjou! I dunno what's going on exactly, but this place looks really cool!

[He does frown a little for a brief second, musing to himself a bit.]

Oh...but where did Onee-chan go? We were right in the middle of a really fun game too...

...Well, that doesn't matter! At least there's people around here I could play with too!

2nd Diary Entry [Accidental Video]

[ When the video feed clicked on, only the slight outlook of the color red could be made out in the darkness. It was quiet at first, but after a moment the silence broke free to a moan- a yawn almost. It was tiny, and as eyes began to adjust to the dim lighting, something caught Yukiteru’s eye- ]

Good morning Yukki!

[Next to the bed but offscreen a voice was heard. It was clearly close, though, since it was very audible from the SFC on the side table.

The boy jolts up when hearing the voice, and as his vision becomes more clear, the image of “Yuno” causes a small gasp from the back of this throat. ]

Who... what are you-!?

Hm? What do you mean Yukki? It’s me, Yuno!

[ fjdbsg he’s scrambling out of bed now, the look of fright glued to his features.
His eyes couldn’t escape looking at one thing in particular- a thing that became apparent on the video feed as ‘Yuno’ moved closer and into the frame. She was a wolf, a pink wolf at that, and her smile aimed towards him was revealing a pair of large and sharp teeth to the boy. ]

Yuno? But- [ A beat, no she couldn’t be- ] - what big teeth you have!

O-Oh...that’s sort of rude to say, Yukki. I know I’m not as cute as usual but you don’t have to make fun of me...you on the other hand look good in that red hood you have on!

[ A blink. He’s slowly drawing his attention downward to- yup. Those weren’t his clothes. ] Eh!? What is this, I don’t remember putting this on-! Why do we look like this?

It appears we’re under another one of Vatheon’s curses! [She didn’t really say much else. Yuno sort of....forgot Yukki didn’t know about the curses oops.. ]

Vatheon’s... curses? [ What oh my gawd they had curses here his life. ] What exactly is that suppose to mean?

Oh! Right, you weren’t here for that, Yukki! [ For some reason she looked happy still even while talking about curses. She wasn’t even apparently phased by the fact she was a wolf now... ] These curses just happen randomly from what I was told, but they are always different. Last one that I experienced, it was causing people to...tell their secrets.

Mostly embarrassing ones, but I didn’t have much of those... [ Even if she did, she mostly only got responses from people that weren’t even helpful. Like a certain ugly purple-haired terrorist and a sorta-blind girl who was supposed to be dead... ]

[ Wow okay the curses still didn’t make a whole lot of sense, thus the unsure faces crybaby riding hood will give you. Though in the process of such, Yukki finally realizes that the SFC had been switched on somehow. Cue the sudden embarrassment as he quickly reaches over and shuts off the feed.

Huh—

[ Sup Vatheon? Having fun with all these new wet people? Well, you've now got one more person to cater to their confused desires.

Yukiteru arrived in the normal way- wet, confused. Yet aside from this initial first reaction, he seems a little worn out. With shoulders shrugged and visible shaking becoming more evident the closer one should squint.

But never fear, he's alive! Or at least... he hopes so. From what the boy could remember from being thrown off a ledge, he could have possibly been killed. But no, that couldn't happen, could it? So with a blink he'll finally get the motivation to sit up- a little awkwardly at first- before that familiar crease of a frown appears.

Welp, he doesn't recognize this place at all... ]

This has a camera? [ Guess who just found the communication device? His frown deepens as he peers into the screen; gently wiping some of the wet bangs away from curious eyes. Brb, casting a glance aside as if he is looking- checking something, in fact. The sound of a cellphone button is heard.

The boy's voice drops. ] H- hello? Can anyone tell me where I am? If... anyone can hear me.

[ Help the poor, distressed child? ]

Ah... well, hello! My name is Madoka Kaname and if anyone can see this, I’d really like to hear from you or at least I’d really like to hear about this place! I don't think I've ever seen a place like this before…

I’m also looking for someone, her name is Homura Akemi. She’s about this tall, ( Madoka pulls back the phone as she says this, showing more of herself with her just as elaborate, and apparently stringless bow, as she raises her hand slightly above her own head. ) Has dark hair and purple eyes. It's really important that I find her; I’m sorry for asking so much but if you have information about her, I would really like to now. Thank you!

So! I take it this place is called "Vatheon"— at least, according to the conspicuous sign. A lot of new people turn up here, right? It seems like a sort of immigration system, but it'd be nice to know why—

[YES MINENE WILL TAKE THE WHEEL RIGHT NOW. You know how she probably would've been all over this by now? Well...now she is, and she's taking the communicator from her kawaii friend Akise. She's just as wet, and to contradict her "friend", she's not quite as calm.]

If anyone doesn't tell me what the hell is going on here, I'm blowing this place up!!

[As if to prove her point, a loud explosion shakes the background, and she smirks. At least her bombs hadn't gotten wet. Right?]

Better be glad this was abandoned. Next time you guys might not be so lucky! So hurry up and get some answers coming in, or else!
