| [The dream starts with Sola coming through the front door of the same house he shares with Johnny and the Fais in Vatheon. His appearance has changed significantly from those who know him now, however. He's a whopping 6'2" with broad shoulders and a barrel chest that's evident even under the Hylian knight's armor he sports. He steps into the kitchen (having to duck a little under a light fixture) and leans down slightly to plant a solid kiss on the cheek of one Johnny Rayflo. Johnny pauses in his baking, smiling at the kiss in his gentle way as he stirs batter, an apron covering his naked torso and jean-clad legs.
They exchange a brief conversation akin to the typical 'how was work today' set up as Sola unbuckles his cape and armor, finally down to his tunic before going over and leaning against the counter, his posture still the same as his current form in the bubble instead of seeming to carry all the weight of the dream-given muscles. His voice is slightly deeper, more mature, and carries a confidence Sola has only displayed during the last curse where he'd been mentally aged to an adult. Once Johnny has placed the cake pan in the oven, Sola steps behind him and envelops his matesprit in a gentle hug, protective and caring.
Before long there's a knock at the door, and then another. Sola moves to answer and invites in a slow stream of people. Link, Zelda, Signless, Psii, Ganymede... the list goes on. Anyone and everyone that Sola has made a positive connection with, even those no longer in the bubble like Ion and Izaya, are present and happy. This being a dream, the table seems to stretch to accommodate everyone. The meal is brought out and everyone sits, chatting merrily amongst themselves with the Hylian pleased as punch in the middle of it all.
It's clear that for Sola, this is how he wants to be. Strong, confident, and able to protect people; still living in the bubble, surrounded by the friends and loved ones who mean so much to him.]
((ooc: Comments can be interacting or after the dream, just specify in the subject please! If you'd like to interact, it'll be during the dinner but generally just be a one on one conversation with Sola.)) |

| Noooooooooo!
[The voice isn't the Dolorosa's, but rather the plaintive complaint of a child. Inside a cavern, a fire burns merrily with a pot of something cooking suspended over it, and the point of focus moves to a small, grey-skinned youngster with large eyes, small horns and a mop of black, curly hair.
He's scowling, arms folded, and is.. completely naked.]
You're not making me put on pants! It's an infringement of my rights as a free troll!
[Briefly, the screen goes black as the Dolorosa closes her eyes and laughs, and when they open again the little troll is still standing there, still scowling, and still naked. It's only when she moves to step towards him that his eyes go wide and he shrieks, darting out of the way of her hands.
It's only moments before her longer strides catch him and she sweeps him up into her arms, and the shrieks and complaints turn into helpless giggles as she tickles her fingers against his ribs.]
You can be just as free with pants on, my little one. [The Dolorosa's voice is warm and kind, full of love and patience. The little troll wriggles in her arms until he's looking her in the face. She kisses his cheek and he makes a spluttery sound.]
I will. You watch. I'll be free and so will everyone else! .. Then I won't have to wear pants if I don't want to.
[She laughs again, and holds him close, and the screen flicks black again. The only sound is the soft crackling of the fire before it, too, dies away. The Dolorosa wakes up peacefully, as such a dream might imply.]

| [Anyone that wanders into the princess's dream would surprisingly still find themselves in Vatheon. It isn't exactly the Vatheon that everyone lives in now, though - it's just a bit different. The coral now towers all the way up to the top of the bubble, looking a great deal like a massive tree. It gives off a soft golden glow. Thalassino can be seen nearby walking around openly, and Carol isn't too far off either. The locals that typically wander the city looking just a bit like they're in a fog have a sort of clarity to them that they usually don't possess.
Zelda herself can be found at the base of the coral, pressing a hand to the mark beneath her collarbone and opening up a portal. The fields of Hyrule are visible on the other side, accessible whenever she wants to go. It's then that she notices she has company, and she turns with a smile.]
Hello, there. |
|
| [It's a very short click but an extremely long pause before Jade says anything.]
My, um, brother--John. He went back home.
[And a shorter pause before she adds:]
In case you knew him.
[Her tone's shockingly neutral considering this is apparently a family member she's talking about, but her closing off the feed does sound suspiciously like her simply smashing the SFC against something hard.] |
|
| [When the feed clicks on, Sola’s bright, cheerful face is paired with Ganymede’s reluctantly irritated one.]
Aren’t all these puzzles and stuff awesome?! But I think some people might be having trouble so I asked Ganymede to help me help everyone! Since he’s really good at this stuff too.
[He has his arms crossed and his torso angled away from the video feed, but he shoots a sulky glance over his shoulder at the praise. Ganymede has always responded well to praise, after all. And he does like the puzzles. Besides, he agreed to this, whether or not Sola really harassed him into it.]
If you must know, I’m the best with word puzzles or matching games.
And I really like sliding puzzles and ones where you move things around to make other things like pictures! Or where you light all the torches or have to press one switch and then another at the same time.
[Ganymede flicks a look over at Sola and rolls his eyes a little at his enthusiasm, but he can't hold the expression and turns his head away from the screen again.
Sola doesn’t notice, still happily going on about puzzles. His confidence had been shaken by the previous curse, so this event is doing quite a lot for him in that department.]
So if anyone needs help with any puzzles or anything, one or both of us will come over and help. It’s really frustrating not to be able to get to your stuff because some blocks or a riddle’s in the way.
[With a proud puff of his chest, Sola pulls his arm over Ganymede’s shoulders and waves at the screen with his free hand. Ganymede actually lets out a small squawk of protest, before giving a little nod.]
Happy to help, Vatheon!
((ooc: Please specify if you want Sola, Ganymede, or both in your thread! They do make house calls so if you’d like the thread to go to action, we can do that too.)) |
|
| [It's taken Sola a little while to get up the courage to face Vatheon again, and even now it's through the network that he decides to do it, not confident enough to do so in person.]
Um, I guess everyone's glad to be back to normal, right? 'cause you can reach cupboards again or read and write. I'm glad for you, I guess, but...
[There's a long pause as Sola tries to form what words he wants, looking tired. This week of his mind equalizing back to what it was instead of the far advanced pathways it had formed during the curse. Words he'd known how to use were gaps in his mind, reasoning broken and fragmented until he found the simpler thought progression he'd used before. He doesn't want to go back to being ill-fitted to his own body. He liked being smart, or at least being able to understand things, to comprehend just like everyone else. Losing it is a heavy blow to his confidence.]
I'll miss it. I know I'll learn, eventually, but it was really good knowing things and it's hard not knowing things now that I knew last week. It makes my brain kinda tired trying to remember them though.
Anyway, that's all.
[With an awkward wave, Sola reaches for the button to end the video.
The end of the curse had been a really terrible birthday present.] |

| [ There was a large splash as something or someone landed hard in the fountain. The water took awhile to settle and once it did a silver blonde head came up out of the water, dripping wet and with a slightly disgruntled pout on the otherwise angelic face. Barry stepped out of the fountain and shook his wet hair out of his face. One look around told him he wasn't in Rome anymore and a small brochure and SFC at his feet confirmed it.
Not wanting to look poor for the camera he dries himself off instantly, fixing his clothes and hair back the way it had been. It doesn't take him long to figure out how to work the device and he clicks it on to show his face. ]
Greetings, it seems I've arrived here rather unexpectedly.
[ Barry smiles the look absolutely angelic and innocent. ]
It seems I'll need somewhere to stay. Can someone assist me?
[ He tilts his head to one side still smiling angelically. ]
[OOC: Feel free to respond via whatever SFC media you choose, or just in person o/ ] |

| [It's been an entire 24 hours since Sola ran out on Johnny after their fight but the sting of the argument hadn't dulled at all. The Hylian had spent the time between then and now hiding out in Link's empty tree house, alternating between crying while hugging his knees and punching the wall imagining it to have Johnny's face. Really, it's a bit over the top and melodramatic but you can't expect a boy with the emotional maturity of a first grader to be able to handle things like this well.
In the wee hours of the morning he'd cried himself to sleep.
Now it's mid-afternoon and the replica has calmed some, even if the ache he feels has not. He's still angry, still brutally angry that Johnny hasn't come for him, that he hasn't tried to prove Sola wrong in thinking the vampire doesn't love him, and it just stings more. It hurts so badly to know - not think, but know - that Johnny doesn't want him. He didn't want to be right about that...
So then why had Johnny said he did? It's the big mystery and the only solution Sola can think of is that Johnny was just playing with him, seeing how long he could string the stupid kid along until he cracked. Hell, he's probably laughing at him right now. Stupid Sola, can't even tell when someone's lying to his face...
Sola's face on the SFC is cold, his complexion dark and brooding.]
Johnny Rayflo is a liar and a jerk!
[For a moment it seems he has more to say, but he's overcome with a mix of sharp anger and solid grief. Not wanting to scream or cry at the network, instead he shuts off the feed with a violent flick of his hand.] |
|
| [Hey Vatheon, instead of a view of Sola's face, the first thing that pops up is a massive pair of antlers, adorned with leaves from the park's trees, a piece of paper pierced through one prong, several short lengths of tangled cord wrapped around here and there, a small lantern, and a bat (by the name of Johnny Rayflo of course) who turns on one foot and yawns as he lazily hangs from the horns.
It takes a minute, but Sola finally steps back so he can be seen along with his impressive headgrowth.]This curse is stupid. |
|
| [Good morning, Vatheon! Normally, Link would be out and about - but, well, the weather isn't great-looking right now. Instead, he's settled against a window, the blah weather visible outside.]
It's been kind of gloomy, huh? [And not just because of the weather.] I think we should do something to cheer everyone up - like the masquerade. Me and Yukiko were talking then, and - lots of people know how to do things, huh? Like play music, or cook things, or do magic. And it'd be fun seeing things from other worlds! So...
[Deep breath.] How about we do a talent show? Only people can cook things and there'd be lots of activities and things to do - and there's a holiday coming up where people can dress up, right? [Killing two birds with one stone, man.]
It might be fun - something nice to do after the stuff that's happened. |
