Hellooo, Vatheon! For those who don't know me, I'm Yukiko Kudo. I'm wondering if you all can answer some questions for me?

First, there's a big variety of shops here in the bubble, including the Nostaglia Nook. So I was wondering:

What are your favorite things to buy?
If you wanted to recommend something from your world to someone, what would it be? Some kind of food? An article of clothing? An item?

Second: It's getting close to October, isn't it? Which would mean that Halloween is coming up soon! For those who might now know, Halloween is a wonderful time when you can dress up as anything you like. There is also a tradition where you go trick or treating, but I'm unsure if they do that here in the bubble. But that doesn't mean people can't dress up, right~? And it's never too early to think about your costume! So, here's one more question for you Vatheon:

What kind of Halloween Costume are you planning?

If you have a plan for a costume but unsure if you can make it I'd be happy to help! I'm well versed on making costumes as well as make-up so feel free to ask.

[Oh, look it's that twiglike scientist again. Expect at the moment doesn't appear as twiglike as usual. The backround is dimmly lite but some binomials can be seen on wall behind him. Crocker appears twitchy in his eyes and speaks in a tired and raspy voice]

For those who may have thought I, was - [There's a pause and mumble] This is so awkward. [His vocal returns] Had my body 'hitting' on any of you during that - VIRUS! I do apologize. Let me make this clear [His glasses slimmer] I have no interest in dating, getting romantically involved or -------- AWKWARD in bed with any of you.

If any of you should visit. You should probably know I've - BOOBY TRAPPED my house till these - murders are over.

I'm surprised I haven't seen more relief to be back in our own bodies. Maybe we're still reeling a bit.

Anyway, I don't mean to bring everyone down, but does anyone have more information about the recent murders? I think we all got pretty caught up in last week's confusion, but the danger's still there. Especially considering it's the time for new arrivals, right? It's harder to find safety in numbers if you don't know anyone yet.

[Murder is a great topic for your first network post, right? Oh, well. It's better than worrying about things back home anyway. Despite the subject, there's nothing uneasy in Tifa's manner, and she ends the post smoothly.]

[Now there are a lot of things Asakura could talk to the network about today! Like how awesome it is to be back in her proper body! Or talking about ~*murders*~!

But neither of those are on her mind as she has her SFC on. In fact she sounds just a bit sad, and not just because Rin got mad at her for offering to mercy murder Alister earlier.]

How many of you have had people from your world appear here and then had them leave?

[Gosh darn it, her favourite normal human is gone and she feels the need to know how other folks dealt with this.

In a non-stabby way.]

[The first history books Raf had checked out were those from worlds that clearly weren't Earth, and he still has a stack of them to his side, detailing all sorts of crazy stuff that he's only willing to believe might actually be the case because he's already seen some crazy things in his time in Vatheon. Even the history books about Earth, though, don't show the same world he knows, for the most part. There were worlds where war had engulfed nearly the entire Earth: in 2074 or 1914.

It's interesting, and it's particularly interesting for Raf, who had at one point been working on his PhD in the subject of alternate histories. And since his image has already been on the SFCs now, there's no particular point in paranoia, or even well-justified caution.]

If you could change one point in your distant history, what would you change? What about if you could change one thing that happened during your life? Your parent's life?

For myself...I don't know. The world's a very complicated place -- while it would be easy enough for me to say that I would choose for the Ottoman Consulate in Seattle not to be blown up, or Micky O'Brian not to be shot, even if those events weren't replaced with something there would be ripples beyond them. What do you think would be worth those ripples?

[ Hello Vatheon! There is a Sophie sitting in her bed with a book on her lap. ]

Asbel brought me a book, when I had to stay in bed. He was reading stories from it.
I can read some too, but it's strange.

[ Here, let her show you. She starts to read. ]

"Once upon a time there was a family of six bears. There was Daddy Bear, Mummy Bear, Blue Bear, Big Bear, Clever Bear and Completely Bear. They lived in a forest that didn't have any trees."

[ ... she looks at the SFC. ]

If the forest doesn't have trees, how can it be a forest?

[ She is so confused. But it doesn't stop there. She looks back down to the book. ]

"The four young bears all decided to go out looking for adventure, so off they went. Blue Bear headed for the fun fair, but on the way he tripped and fell into a pot of yellow paint. This made him yellow from head to toe. Big Bear went to the Science Museum. Before he looked at all the interesting exhibits, he went to get a large hamburger and fizzy drink from the restaurant. But instead of drinking the fizzy drink, he accidentally drank some Incredible Shrinking Potion which made him about the size of ant. Clever Bear went to the library. He was sitting down reading some history books, when suddenly his brain exploded and millions of tiny pieces shot out of his ears."

[ At that point she suddenly stops reading, staring at the book for a few minutes. Quietly, she closes the book, looking at the SFC and with a perfectly serious look on her face, asks: ]

... is it really okay to read this? I don't want my brain to explode.

[ There's a much calmer Aoko on the feed this time - likely because she's back in her own body. ]

If you know someone who's a few months older than you, but they show up here right after their birthday, are you still younger than them on your birthday? Or are you now older?

[ It's a question that's been on Aoko's mind for the past week or so, what with her birthday being today - it feels weird, the idea of being 18 when Kaito hasn't had his 18th birthday. But at the same time, she is having a birthday here, and that has to count for something. ]

I guess this is assuming that people even count birthdays here, but...I'm curious.
