| [When Johnny turns on the video he's sitting at the counter in his kitchen wearing a pair of large-framed square glasses, surrounded by egg cartons. All but two are empty and those two look normal, except half of one carton features a myriad of brightly colored eggs.
Beside the cartons are six short glass cups each filled with a different vibrant color.]
Good morning, Vatheon. Some of you may not know and others may have forgotten, but today is the Easter holiday on Earth.
It's technically there for the religious significance behind it, but that's not the part most people remember it for. You see, there's a tradition where people color eggs with dye like this and then, once they're dry, you're to hide them so your children can go on a hunt for them.
Of course there's an incentive for this egg hunt, the reward for collecting all the eggs is a basket of chocolate and candy.
[He takes a moment to fish a now yellow egg out of one of the glasses and plops it into the one with red liquid.]
I've made quite a few of these today and, some of them, I've stashed around the bubble. No where too obscure like on rooftops or anything, but they are hidden. If you find one of these eggs, let me know and I'll be happy to make whatever sweet thing you so desire. Hopefully that's comparable to a basket of goodies.
[He fishes the egg back out which is now a light red-orange color (those dyes are never perfect) and he sets it in the carton to dry.]
I don't know if anyone else had a similar idea, but all of the ones I've hidden are an orange color like that one.
Happy hunting!
((OOC:If you want your character to find an egg of Johnny's, go for it, there's no cap on how many can be found.)) |

| [ The video feed accidentally clicks on as Sora was looking at his calender on the phone. He's scrolling over it not really paying attention until the date actually catches his attention. His eyes go wide for a moment in surprise and then a soft smile settles on his face. He really should pay more attention to these sort of things, but it's easy to lose track of time in the bubble. ]
Wow, I've been here a year already.
[ Sora laughs lightly. ]
Man, I can't believe I missed my birthday too. That's so lame.
[ Despite the realization Sora doesn't seem too bummed out about it. The past few weeks had been well...interesting to say the least. ] |

| Ahhhh, it's certainly good to be back to normal!
[Never mind that it's been a week since the curse ended. He's just been... busy. Yeah.
Shiro is stretching his arms and yawning like he just woke up from a nap or something, and there's a smirk on his face that seems just a little... devious, for some reason. There's... something behind him, but it's out of focus for the moment.]
It was a fun curse, but I prefer things to be as they are when there aren't curses going on. I suppose anyone can say that though, yeah?
[The SFC moves at last, and what comes in to view is... interesting, to say the least. The kitchen table in his house is in a normal spot, however all of the chairs that were around it have been stacked in such a way on top of it that looks entirely physically impossible for a scrawny boy like Shiro to do. But it's been done, and it's obvious he was responsible just by that grin of his.
At the very top of the stack is a silver attache case of some sort. There's no name on it, or any markings to indicate who it belongs to, but the owner will know it soon enough.]
Anyway... I wonder how many pranks will be played during April Fool's Day? Hm.
[He might be snickering. It's quite, but the sound is there, just before he reaches to turn the SFC off.]

| [A new non-filtered video hits the network. In it is a older oliveblooded troll many will recognize. She is sitting cross-legged on some sort of large stuffed chair in the shape of a cat. Unlike many of her public postings this one appears to be actually intentional. She has certainly come a long way in understanding the communications technology of this place. She takes a sip from a steaming teacup and addresses the camera.]
One year. It is a human measurement of time. The time it takes the human planet, Earth, to complete one full orbital revolution around its parent star.
[A pause as she takes another sip of tea.]
It seems my starfish communicator has let me know that it was just over one human year ago that I first arrived here in Vatheon. It is a rather arbitrary distinction for one of my race, as we do not share the same measurement of time. One of our own orbital sweeps lasts as long as 26 human months. Regardless, it has still got me thinking about all my time spent here.
This place has given me many things. The chance to once again have that which I had lost. A chance to meet those that I would not otherwise have been able to. It has given me a chance to forgive, both myself and others. I have had opportunities here that I would not have even dreamt of back home. That is not to say that it has been completely enjoyable. This place certainly has a way of sticking a knife into your chest and then slowly turning it.
Well, that is enough of my ramblings. To those of you I know, I look forward to another human year together. To those that I do not know, let us change that.
[Disciple raises her teacup in salute, smiles one last time into the camera, and the feed cuts.] |
