| [If you're in the Lower District today, somewhere between the dividing line between the Middle and Lower Districts and the forest, you may have seen Rinoa running full speed. And if you have quick eyes, you might have seen why; she's been chasing after one of these little guys. This particular bugger got a hold of her SFC, and she's been in pursuit since he nabbed it right outside her home.
The video is accidentally kicked on when Rinoa manages to pelt something at the Unversed, knocking her SFC out of its grip. It clatters to the ground, spinning on its back. The camera lens is facing a random direction, but Rinoa can be see in its very periphery.
She ducks suddenly, just before the Flood launches at her. It doesn't move like a normal living thing. It's certainly not like any monster Rinoa's seen. It glides across the ground, almost like a shadow. Rinoa's backpedaling now, keeping her eyes on the thing.
However, it manages to slide past her and reemerge from behind. Before she can turn around in time, it snaps up from the ground and lands a hit on her. While it's nothing lethal or even that serious, it does draw blood, and it sends Rinoa stumbling back.
The sorceress at this point has had enough. Just as the creature leaps back to prepare another attack, Rinoa's hand snaps back and she conjures up a toasty Fira spell and whips it at the Unversed. It might be hard to see from the SFC, but one might notice a faint pair of angel wings that sprouted from her back when she cast the spell. Needless to say, once the spell is done, the sucker's fried, and the wings disappear quickly.
The impromptu battle over, Rinoa limps over to her SFC. She's got a hand over her wound, but when she moves the other hand to grab her communicator, she notices it's on. She mutters,]Anyone know what that thing was? |

| [There's a very brief pause before Squall's voice can be heard.]
This is Squall Leonhart. I speak on the behalf of the Defense Force.
A body was found in the carnival. It was hanging upside down on the ferris wheel, held up with wires.
If anyone has any information at all that could be related to this incident, let us know. You can speak to us here or come see us in person.
That is all. |

| [Tatsumi is sometimes able to unable to sleep at night, but he doesn't need that much sleep anyway. During his latest walk he noticed the coral is not glowing as bright as usual, but maybe it's just him? Either way, he might as well ask, because maybe someone else might confirm his suspicion.]
Good evening, Vatheon residents. Has anyone noticed the coral's glow has grown fainter since yesterday? Maybe I didn't notice it before, but I'm pretty sure last night it wasn't as bright as usual.
Oh another subject. Zelda told me about the defense group you have in the city. I would like to offer my services, in case you need them. Alternatively, I also have experience working as a secretary.
Regards to everyone |

| [Before the feed starts, in the vicinity of the Lower District, you might hear a loud explosion. Okay, well, it's not terribly big, but in a relatively peaceful bubble-shaped underwater dome, it's rather noticeable. If you're really close by, you'll even see the roof of a tool shed go flying in the air before landing unceremoniously somewhere.
But like any explosion it all ends rather quickly. The silence holds for a beat before a panic-stricken Rinoa comes onto the SFC.]
Sorry! So sorry! Please don't panic if you heard, heard all of that! That was just me.
[Behind her, there are the remains of a now very charred and destroyed tool shed. Luckily Rinoa doesn't seem to be harmed; she's more embarrassed than anything.]
I'll, um, try to pay for damages and stuff. [Good thing she got that job.] Can't believe this happened. I wasn't even aiming at the shed...
((ooc: Rinoa is trying to get a hold on her powers. Needless to say, she's not off to a stellar start.)) |

| A few questions for you all, Vatheon. After speaking with several people about this, my curiosity started to grow about one particular subject;
Magic.
How many people come from a world where it's common knowledge? How many people here can perform it? And what of its resources? - Tags:aziraphale, desu mc (katsu aoki), kael'thas sunstrider, ky kiske, raine sage, squall leonhart, tatsumi seiichirou, ventus, yosuke otoha, zelda (ocarina of time), zexion

| Not that this place isn't interesting and all, but... I clearly got on the wrong airship or something.
Okay, I hate to be the new guy asking all the new guy questions that I bet all you locals have heard before, but where exactly is this? My gut tells me not on Gaia or anywhere near Alexandria.
Dagger, you're not here too, are you? Crap. |

| [What kind of game was Seifer playing at now? Sure, this was totally different than something the bully normally pulled, but he was the only one who would get a kick out of Hayner waking up in a water fountain.
Hold up. What the hell?!
Why was there WATER in the sky?
Hayner seriously felt sick. Very sick and disoriented. Last thing he remembered was racing from the Usual Spot with Olette and Pence to meet up with Roxas. What the heck was going on? The most likely perpetrator was approaching with a dumb smile on their face . The SFC clattered roughly to the ground as the blond slammed the poor local against the wall of a shop. The placement of the star shaped device would only allow for viewers to have a nice view of the "sky" above.] What gives?! Who are you and where the heck am I? Was it those picture freaks that put you up to this?! Where are my friends? |

| So... I have family now. Sort of.
[It's... an new feeling, to say the least. His parents died when he was little, so he's never had anyone related by blood with him in a long time. His fellow knights from the Academy were the closest thing to family he's ever had. And Zelda.
Anyway, back on topic. Link has been avoiding the buildings so far during his stay here, choosing instead to make a camp up on the island. But now he's reconsidering the whole thing.]
Could someone tell me about the, uh... 'apartments' and the like? |

| [Serph looks serious when this video turns on, but his voice is even and calm as he addresses the residents of Vatheon.]...You've likely seen the body of a nurse in the plaza. The Defense Force will be putting in place more patrols. [Pretend there is a detailed map of Vatheon here instead of the approximated one the mods have drawn. On this map, there are blinking dots to represent homes people have volunteered for use as a safehouse in times of danger, accompanied by a text list:
MIDDLE DISTRICT [Near Plaza] The Crow's Nest Bar [East] Clinic
LOWER DISTRICT Coral Corral, House 2 Phanga Neighborhood, Hive 15 Phasma Apartments, Floor 1, Room 3 RED Base (stay out of the basement laboratory)
FOREST QUADRANT Embryon Base
ISLAND Village
There's one other unlisted safehouse. Serph has a record that House 4 of the Coral Corral can replace House 2 if the latter can no longer be used, since having two safehouses next to each other is kind of pointless.]These are the locations of safehouses for people to use. They have a magical barrier around them, courtesy of Zelda. [There's a small pause, before he continues.]It's clear we know very little regarding this murder. If we pool our knowledge and ideas here, we will come closer to finding the root of this. [ooc: Feel free to use this as an open forum of discussion etc. so THREADJACK AWAY. I'm unfortunately going to be slow because of university :|
Defense Force people, especially those who are willing to do some extra time patrolling, you can assume you've been instructed to do so.] |
