| [ Well, it's taken a little while. But a warm towel and a trip to the Welcoming Committee later, Kairi has a lot better of an idea as to what's going on here than she'd had just prior to that. It's a relief and a worry all at once, to know that she's not alone in this. To see so many others stuck here is kind of sad--but still, they're making the most of it. A lot of people seem happy.
And that's a good thing. She's a firm believer in positivity helping you make it through anything.
Which is why she's got a smile on her face when the video clicks on; she's honestly delighted at the prospect of meeting so many new faces. And at the possibility that maybe, just maybe (however unlikely) her long-lost best friends might be here, too. In the very least she's gotten off the island and is now living an adventure of her own. It's daunting as heck, but pretty exciting, too.
And oh, yeah! This thing is recording. Uhhhhh. ]
You know, one of my friends used to be convinced that there was a whole other world under the sea. But she said you'd have to sprout gills and fins to get there. Wait until I tell her you don't need to! She won't believe me.
[ Her grin warms, and she waves. ]
Hi, if you're watching this. I'm Kairi. And I guess it's pretty obvious that I'm new, huh?
[ Being the new girl again. At least she's experienced this feeling before. ]
I've gotta thank the Welcoming Committee for that map, you guys are lifesavers. But all the maps in the world aren't going to materialize a couple of boys out of thin air. So I'm wondering if anyone seen a guy named Riku, or... or...
[ She frowns, furrowing her brow in mild annoyance. She still can't remember. ]
I don't know what his name is, but he'd probably be hanging around with Riku.
So, has anyone seen them? I need to give them a talking to.
[ The grin turns into a playful smirk, and then the transmission ends. ]

| [The shock of coming back to Vatheon has certainly worn off, and Maka's about settled in after much rearranging of the living quarters she's now sharing. It's a weird setup, but that's par for the course in Vatheon. Something is nagging at her as she works, however, and being left alone without anyone to talk to allows far too much time for her to turn over...several possibilities in her head.]
I think some of you have noticed at this point that sometimes people from your world come from different points in time. Usually it's slightly behind or a good bit ahead, right?
But
[...]
have you ever thought about what might happen if someone really important to you came from a time before they even *knew* you?

| [The video feed flickers on to show a lovely adult troll, tyrian colored eyes matching her tyrian painted lips. Thick black hair down to the ground that seems to wrap around her figure. She, all together, looks rather bored, like this is some tedious effort she doesn't want to deal with.]
Hello, Vatheon.
[A smile touches her features, one much softer than most would expect! Less condescending than her title implies.]
I feel now is a good time to introduce my presence and-
[She turns her head away from the video for a moment, something obviously caught her attention. The video becomes shaky as she walks quickly.]
Grand Highblood?
[The video doesn't turn from its original position, but a low rumbling voice can be heard offscreen:] Well, my lady. Didn't think I would be all motherfucking finding you here so quick-like and shit.
|
| [There's a Johnny in a tree, Vatheon. He's just sitting there, smoking, looking out over the park. It almost seems like this is an accident until he finally starts speaking, still not looking at the device.]
It's a funny thing: emotions. Some people run their lives by them while others spend their entire lives running from them.
I used to think it was silly to run from something as natural as feelings; I mean...pretty much everyone has them whether they like it or not. Humans, trolls, vampires, dogs, cats, demons...everyone. Why bother fighting something that isn't trying to attack you?
Of course...I think I get it now.
[A pause and he sighs, smoke making the view hazy for a moment before it dissipates.] Still. Emotions are scary things, aren't they? Perhaps that's why people run from them, they're too afraid of what those feelings mean and do.
[There's another pause and, for just a moment, his mask drops and he looks a bit like a lost child. Another second and it's back again with a smirk as he finally looks at the SFC.]
I'm not going to ask people whether they run from their emotions or not....just giving you all something to think about.
[Because, clearly, this isn't something he's dealing with himself. Nope.]

| [ poorly filtered to friends (though it was supposed to be just the REDs. dummy). If you want to accidentally see it (because the filter messes up) or hack it, be my guest! ]
M-m-medic! H-heavy! I think someone's after me! He said he was gonna hurt me! He was all creepy and shadowy and had big horns!
H-heeeeelp!!! | |
|
| [ here, have your resident loud J-rocker, looking cool as usual, spouting out Engrish in italics. ]
Hey, everybody~! Seems there's a lot of new people here now, so it's time to grace all of you with my beautiful self! The name's Mishina Eikichi, otherwise known as the Great Michel!
Okay~ So is any of you newcomers know about Sumaru City or know what a Persona is, I'd like to talk to you~! I'm sure there's more than two of us. Philemon's a busy little bastard. Might be useful to group together with all this weird shit that goes on here.
|
| [Is this how you call just one person?
...no, it sure isn't. Lloyd hasn't exactly nailed the finer details of using his SFC yet.]
Hey, uh, Yukari?
[So much awkward in just two words. He still remembers exactly what he did when he was cursed, though, and oh man, he just wants to crawl into a hole. Turning a nice shade of red, he rubs the back of his neck.]
Can we... talk? About, you know, when I was a knight and I asked you to try that glass shoe on?
[Okay. There. He's been putting it off for so long, but now he's finally made the call. Now if he can just get his mind off it while he's waiting...
Oh, hey, he can call Zelos. The blush fades in favor of a very shameless grin.
Nope, still no successful filter.]
Zelos! How are you doing? You're not still a unicorn, are you?

| [ Gosh, what a view what a view. There seems to be a man clad in a purple suit, purple top hat, and a magenta tie staring into the feed. He raises an eyebrow from behind his yellow shades, then pulls back, grinning and showing of the gap between his teeth.
And yes, he is still soaking wet. He has important things, and he can just get a towel/help/whatever whenever his employees show up! That's why he hired and/or built them, gosh!!!] Hello! So... I have a feeling that I'm absolutely lost in this big, beautiful, underwater city. Has anyone seen a giant ship, yellow... being flown by a bunch of snake-dragons? [ Yeah, he was even doing hand signals. He's great.
pause.] No? Well. [ he scratches his chin.] Then, I guess I should be asking how to get out of here! If anyone would like to point me to the nearest exit, I'd be absolutely delighted, or if my staff happens to be around it would be pretty great if you'd report in! [ Feed... off!]
|
| [The feed turns on to the sight of fluttering and wet blue wings and the sounds of a grumbling teenage girl off-camera.]
What a shitty dream bubble...
[The camera is knocked to the side a little to show off Vriska pulling off one of her boots to pour out the water that got caught inside. She looks a little better than a drowned rat, what with her clothes soaking and hanging off her like that. She puts both her boots back on once they're free of water and she pushes back a few locks of wet hair from her face.
She glances at the device, still annoyed, and picks it up and starts to fidget with the buttons.]
What the flying fuck-
[Camera feed ends.] | |
