[Marcello was ungrateful for the rest he had been given. It was no fun depending on others or on anyone who you found it easier to detest. So he had packed his things and gone almost as quickly as his vision returned to his eyes. He had left without saying a word. It was not easy.

This time, he gave up trying to hurt his brother with words of his own. He sought those of others instead - but not to use them against Angelo, either.]

Greetings. Now I have recovered my health, I will ask this question: in this city, what parts are there to play for a man trained in the holy orders? The boredom of leisure is intolerable. I cannot see myself sat here doing nothing.

Regardless, I speak primarily of martial combat. I am also familiar with a wide range of literature. I equally acquainted with my world's scriptures, though that area is... Faith no longer interests me. I am perfectly willing to detail them for those who are interested, however.

[ Barry has propped up the SFC so that he can be clearly seen. He's sitting back against his Victorian style couch, and while it's not odd to see a smile on the demon's face this time it's far tighter and less pleasant than normal. When he does start to speak there's a tightness to his voice as well. ]

Good evening, Vatheon.

While some of you may not have had the pleasure of meeting me yet, I'm merely here to inform you that my partner, Johnny Rayflo, [ The name is said equally tightly. He knows Johnny well enough to know he wouldn't have told anyone about Barry's own nickname for him. That was fine for Barry, Addy was his and only his after all. ] has left the bubble.

I'm sure he has many assets that will need to sorted out, but I'll trust others to do that in my stead.

[ Barry's honestly half tempted to go out and torch said possessions, but with Johnny gone there's really no point in erasing those particular belongings from existence. ]

[No theatrics or flamboyant language today, just one tired vampire. He'd like to say he's only tired because he just woke up from one of those comas that aren't actually restful, but that's not the case.]

It's been about twelve days since Rinoa Heartilly left the city, I meant to say something but then, well, I wasn't available.

It's been nine days since Sola vanished as well. Considering the usual three-day rule, I suspect it isn't a temporary thing for either of them.

I still have access to Rinoa's apartment and much, if not all, of Sola's things are still here at the house. If either of them had something that belonged to someone else, let me know and I'll see if I can track it down.

[And with that exceedingly clinical and neutral announcement made, he just shuts off the recording.]

[He's not making a video because he doesn't want people seeing him in his condition.]

From a week previous, I have been living at my brother's residence. Please forward any correspondence to his address.

[There's a respectful silence.]

I also wish to apologise on his behalf for a disturbance his tomfoolery caused not long ago; doubtlessly some amongst you have witnessed its outcome. I am highly apologetic for such regrettable destruction, and I do not believe I shall permit my brother to forget the consequences of his actions, which shame us both.

In a few minutes, consider his misdemeanour punished. But first I wish to be informed of any establishments that don't cheat you out of your money. Or, perhaps of a library in this city. I do not believe I have come across one during my short time here, and a library in a place such as this must be full of books.

I could use the distraction at the moment, and I admit I shall be glad to find one.

[He still finds the idea of talking into this little thing a bit strange, but it obviously works, somehow. He supposes he's had more than enough time to try and get accustomed to things here, but it's with some hesitation that Saitou finally speaks up, not even certain that he's got this SFC working correctly.

[When the SFC's camera turns on for the first time, Vatheon's network is treated to a view of some glorious, glorious chest hair. And a few seconds later, it pans upward to the face of the owner of said chest hair, a dwarf with a smug look on his face. He's holding a crossbow in his arms.

He's holding it rather affectionately.

It may or may not be slightly unsettling to those watching.]

Greetings, citizens of Vatheon. My name is Varric Tethras. And this- [He pats the crossbow.] -is Bianca. Now, the two of us have a very important question we need answered.

Where, exactly, do people go around here to gather, relax, and have fun? It would be most preferable if said place had drinks. Cute dwarven serving girls not required, but a nice bonus.

Dizzy is gone. Back to our world...

[Not as important to the bubble, perhaps, as Zelda's disappearance, but he feels it more. He's not going to acknowledge that fact if he can't, though, not any more than he's already had to.

Which is why he's moving on.]

Has anyone ever done a survey of the different types of fighting that everyone here knows? It seems like we probably have a lot to teach each other, and I, for one, would be happy to learn something a little different. I currently use a sword and lightning magic, and while I can't teach the magic to those who don't have it, I've found that simply sparring against people from different schools of training has helped me to adapt my own technique.

But there's some things I can't learn simply by fighting, but things that might be nonetheless useful in the context of some battles, like firearms.

Perhaps if people could simply talk some about how battles go on their world, I'll be able to better determine strategy that should be used for the Defense Force.

And I wouldn't be opposed to learning something new, if anyone's in the mood to teach.

[The SFC turns on, and there's Ilya... except she doesn't look like her usual happy self. In fact, it's even weirder, since she's in a particularly interesting pink dress.]

Has anyone seen a card that looks like this?

[She holds up a picture of an armoured knight with a sword.]

I'm supposed to be looking for it -

[ - and then a flying red stick with wings conks her on the head and... speaks.]

Do it with more energy! You're supposed to be a magical girl out to collect all the class cards!

[At this, Ilya freezes, as though she's been told something she doesn't want to hear. She grabs something off-screen and throws it over the SFC.]

I told you I don't know why I can't use magecraft right now!

[It seems like covering the SFC was her attempt to make sure no one heard her... although that clearly failed.]

[You might see Ilya around Vatheon, touting pink instead of her usual purple, being followed by the red stick - or the top circular winged part, anyway. Maybe you'll see them talking to each other on slightly better terms!

If you're lucky, you might even catch her waving the stick up on the island, trying to practice some kind of move or something. For her, it's really embarrassing (and a little distressing) that she isn't able to gather any mana right now. What is this place doing to her?

Not to mention that the whole idea of being a magical girl is ridiculous. Though, it would be fun if she could actually do something...]

[The video feed centers on Tifa, who looks to be in a pretty good mood. Behind her, part of a small bar can be seen.]

This is probably about as calm as things are going to get for an announcement.

As of today, I'm reopening the bar, the Crow's Nest. The name's from the previous owner, but I decided I'd keep it. I think if you rename a place too many times, it starts to forget its character.

Anyway, it's located a few streets from the plaza, look for the red door. If you're interested in a good drink or a home-cooked meal, you come right on by.

[when the SFC turns on, there’s actually two people visible. One is Shiro, and he looks less than pleased. He has removed his coat at some point, and now Rin is wearing it. Rin certainly looks worse for wear. Whatever happened has left him with a mostly-bandaged arm, and several spots of skin that aren’t covered by the jacket are red and faintly blistered. He doesn’t look terribly happy either but he’s not frowning nearly as much as Shiro.

They're also up on the island, sitting on the beach.]

Good afternoon. We, ah, felt it was important to let you all know something-

[Rin cuts in before Shiro can fully get to his explanation]

Dad broke the ocean.

[Shiro sputters at that and is quick to protest.]

I did not break the ocean!

Yeah, okay, we both broke it. Well. I mean-- I dared Dad to bless the ocean and it kinda worked better than we were expectin’.

That doesn’t mean it's broken, it’s just a little holier than it was yesterday.

[Whoops they were supposed to be talking to the SFC, not each other. So Shiro turns his attention back to that.]

We just wanted to warn any residents who might be affected by holy water, you probably won’t want to go swimming for a day or two.

Still think it’s funny to say you broke it...

[The feed shuts off just after Shiro smacks Rin on the back of his head.]
