| I've ended up in strange places before, but this is the first time that I've been under the ocean. I guess there's a first time for everything?
[ Despite Dawn trying to sound confident, she just sounds a tad bit shaky. Oh well, it's probably normal for someone who's just arrived, or at least that's what she tells herself.
Meanwhile, in the background, frustrated noises can probably be heard. If you look hard enough, you might see a girl with a droopy hat fiddling wildly with her own communicator. It seems like she might be having some problems.. ]
Anyway, I guess I thought that introducing myself would be a good idea, since you might be stuck with me for awhile. I'm Dawn, a Pokemon Trainer from Sinnoh. Well, now I'm the champion, but it feels kind of stuck up to introduce myself like that. I should really get to the point and say that I want to pull my own weight, and I have a pokemon team with me who are willing and eager to help. So if there's anything I can do to help the community out, let me know right away.
[ Dawn stops, her thoughts trailing off as she turns to look back at her companion. She sighs lightly at her new friend’s frustration with her communicator before addressing the feed again. ]
I also hope that we can get along well, since I'd imagine living in an underwater commune will work a lot better if we're all on the same pa-- Hey! Gimme your pokegear thing! [ oops suddenly the girl from the background is showing up, and abruptly grabbing Dawn’s communicator. After a lot of wobbling, her face becomes clear. She’s looking at the thing quizzically, but after she realizes it’s working, it shifts to a satisfied smile. ] Hi! I’m Lyra! I’m a Pokemon trainer, too, like Dawn, but I’m from Johto instead, and I’m a champion, too! Wow, is this some kind of meeting? It’d be nice if they just sent me an invite, instead of kidnapping me! [ huff. kidnapping is super rude. She also kind of feels less special and more dime-a-dozen, being the second known champion here. ] Anyway, nice to meet you! Does anyone know where a Pokemart is, though? I can’t wait to see what kinds are here, but I’m out of Pokeballs.. I guess that’s it, yeah? See you all later!
[ and, after more confused fiddling and a few more frustrated noises, the feed shuts off unceremoniously. ]
( ooc: blue is dawn, red is lyra!! )

| [At first all the screen shows is darkness until something sparks and pops somewhere presumably off-screen. For a split second, Kimblee actually looks surprised, but not for the reasons those who know him would think.]
...Well, that was rude. I was starting to enjoy that film.
[There's some fumbling before he enables the backlight to the SFC and shines it around the living room, and the television. Whatever happened to it when the power went out, it sure doesn't look like it's going to work when it comes back on.
Especially since it seems to be... smoking?]
Oh dear... That's not good now, is it? No, of course not. [He's mostly just talking to himself at the moment.
And then he starts tapping the SFC]
Mustang, two things;
One, I believe we'll need a new television. Two, I don't suppose we have any kerosene lanterns or some candles hidden somewhere in the house?
Right. Apologies, it slipped my mind. [Not really.]
To everyone else in the city, is this one of those infamous curses I've heard about, or just a power shortage? I'm leaning towards the latter but one can't be too sure with how this world works.
Anyway. Roy, as I was saying, I think we'll need a new television. |

| [Yeah, it's dark and late. So what? Otoha is standing on top of a roof, letting the camera pan around to take in the city.]
[He doesn't turn the camera towards himself, just faces it towards the coral, glowing softly, before he speaks.]
People can get brought back here. Death doesn't really mean anything, then.
Even at home, though… death wasn't really something that people like me were supposed to fear. Killing didn't really mean anything but the removal of a problem.
[He's quiet for a moment.]
Why do people get so upset about killing or murder? I've never understood it.
[There's another pause, like he's going to say something else, before he shuts off the feed.] |
|
| [Well, now she knew never to wear white when going into the water. Ever. She was lucky to have a nice local give her a towel. Naminé looked at the communicator before attempting to turn it on. She fiddles with it for moment before giving up and setting it down to wring out the rest of her hair, afterwards she picked it back up again.]
I...guess this thing's on?
[She takes a quick look around.]
Where am I? It looks like this place is in the ocean... Can someone tell me what's going on? |
|
| [Roxas normally doesn't have a problem using video on these things, but... Well, for some reason he doesn't feel like broadcasting his face right now.]
Is it weird to feel connected to someone you've got nothing in common with? Personality-wise, I mean. Like maybe you're in a similar situation, but you turned out completely different...
Guess I'm thinking too much lately.

| [The feed clicks on to reveal Mitsuhide, the sea behind him and rain pouring all around. Not on him, however. While one hand holds his SFC, the other clutches a parasol. He is wearing a long cloak as well.]
[The samurai is, in fact, sat on the back of his Lapras while she takes her daily swim in the ocean. Occasionally, as Mitsuhide speaks, one can hear her soft cries.]
Once, we in Vatheon had no access to the outside. There was no elevator, no way to come above the waves and see the sky. That time taught me to appreciate most types of weather, including downpours such at this.
I confess the rain once brought... certain memories with it, but...
[He shakes his head, and smiles softly.]
That is irrelevant. I should, as usual, offer my greetings to those who are new here. I am Mitsuhide, a member of the Welcoming Committee, and I shall do what I can to assist. If you have questions, feel free to ask, though I fear there are many nobody here can yet answer. |

| I thought the fountain looked boring so I took the liberty of pouring some pink-foamy soap in it.
[ Silence. And then... ]
...
You're welcome. |
